MU joins Twitter

"People are used to communicating with the university through authority people sitting at desks in offices, on the phone and through formal memoranda," Gorichanaz said. "Services like Twitter require an entirely different kind of communication--it's more personable, younger and more hip. With Marquette on Twitter, it's easier to imagine the university as a person."

Artist leaves his mark on dorm chapel walls

Tim Gorichanaz lets his art do his talking. A thoughtful Marquette University sophomore, Gorichanaz, 19, appears like your average, happy college student, busy with homework, part-time jobs, his fraternity Sigma Chi and the Ad Club. A bit on the quiet side, one look into the chapel of his residence hall from freshman year, however, paints a different picture of Gorichanaz.
